A/Prof Frances Dark is the Director of Mental Health Rehabilitation in Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services in Brisbane. Her PhD was in the implementation of cognitive remediation into standard psychosis care.  She has facilitated a focus on cognition as a potentially remediable factor in improving functional outcomes in people recovering from psychosis. She trains staff in cognitive remediation and social cognition interaction training with the aim of having staff skilled in recognising and assisting people with cognitive challenges as part of their mental illness.
